The Big Boonies

Photoshop has done so much for our advertising and marketing industry. We can create things that aren't real but based off of real things such as this rose I made. With the power of Photoshop, you can create a very dangerous picture that looks very real but puts no one in harm. With this power, you can exaggerate things and make products look better. I think the biggest impact photoshop has on our lives is how it controls the beauty industry. It controls what people think the ideal body is and causes people to strive to achieve results that are just unreal. Photoshop is great but its a powerful tool and should be regulated when it comes to manipulating people into believing fake things.

I believe the nature of dreams is what our brains do to cope with our previous day while we sleep. When I have a really exciting day my dreams will be highly energetic and usually involve me doing something similar to what I did in real life. Yes, I believe in coincidence. I believe two things can happen at the same time and be a complete accident or just luck. There might be people who call it fate but I think two unexpected but related events can concur without there being bigger meaning or a bigger picture. I think dreams rely heavily on memory. I've heard that the brain cannot create a human face so every background person you have in your dreams that you just don't know, you have actually seen before and your brain has stored that knowledge. When I go to sleep and try and dream I generally think of a happy event such as that plane ride so hopefully in my dream, I can fly around or be like iron man.

The piece of art I chose to work with is a picture of a strong woman standing on top of some mythical creature she has just slain. The artist who created this work of art goes by the name of David Astruga. David is from Spain and has a lot of artistic experience. He started off with some collaborations on a couple noticeable magazines like playboy and Wall St Journal. He later worked with DC comics and produced illustrations for the comic. I really like this artist because he chooses to create very mystical and mysterious pieces of art. I believe I can do some cool things with his art so I'm excited to use him in the future.
